core i5 3.5 Ghz (ivybridge)
8 Gb ram @ 1600 Mhz
built in ivybridge graphics
Ubuntu 14.04 (main OS)

lots of harddrives, no SSD's because they're a rip off, too small and too expensive.

I'll be upgrading soon, when the new LTS Ubuntu is released.

Then I'll have a Core i5 3.5 Ghz Skylake processor
and 16 Gb ram @ 2400 Mhz

I'll still only have the graphics built into the processor though, the only games I play are either in Linux or my old favourites on the WinXP drive.

Cheers,

Andrew.

Sure, here it is:

#1 used by me
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 32-bit
Homebuilt machine:
AMD64 processor, but running on 32bit currently, so using i386 builds
EVGA graphics card, runs all 3D effects and shaders without a problem :)

#2 used by friends
Some recent iMac with OSX builds (thank you devs!)

#3 used by me
Google/ASUS Nexus 7
Android 5.1.1
Play store and F-Droid MT build
Do what you love, and you will love what you do! :)

My decent gaming config:

LinuxMint 17.3 with Cinnamon
Core i7 - 4771 -- 3.5GHz (3.9GHz in turbo mode)
8GB Ram
Msi GTX-780Ti overclocked at 1241MHz - still stable at 1335Mhz, with 2GB
240GB SSD + 1.5TBHDD

Smooth with a rendering distance around 150 in 2560x1440p.

My limiting factor is the CPU: 1 core is used at 100% and others are hardly unused, while the GPU is used at 30% of its capacity. Probably some optimization can come from the multi-core in the future.

That is a fancy system...

And yes, I really dislike how there is no multi-core optimization for Minetest... Still, we don't have the kind of resources to get multi-core support (I don't think...)

Debian Testing (Stretch)
64 bit
using cinnamon (at the moment MATE the testing repos is transitioning through digital puberty, aka jumping from GTK2 to GTK3, hiding from the storm until it blows over)
4 gigabytes of RAM
monitor resolution: 1920x1080
OpenGL version: 2.1 (with mesa)
Graphics: Intel chipset (may go for NVidia)
Game performance? I'd say it runs pretty silky smooth despite my specs

My system setup.

I'm planning to get a new GPU. This one (AMD 6450 HD) is too weak for my normal uses.
For fast response... send me a PM

I mostly use my Asus netbook with Windows 8.1, 2.16ghz processor and 2gb RAM. I also have a 2008 laptop with dual boot Windows 7 and Linux Mint. Minetest is installed on both of those. It's barely passable with all of the fancy graphics turned off. I also installed it on my wife's Windows 10 computer, but Windows slows it down sporadically with background processes. I hate Windows 10. My brother has a Linux Mint desktop computer with a great graphics card, and that thing plays Minetest smoothly with the "R" view always on. I'm a little jealous of that.

Dont really know all the details of that but

My desktop
amd fx-4300
nvidia gt610
4GB RAM
MSI 970 motherboard
Some microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse set. I'm surprised that its actually functional, if only they could do the same with its oS.

A quick Google shows many claims of that CPU running stable @ 4.5GHz

Correct I overclocked it :)

I am not just playing Minetest with that system. I am also using Blender, a lot of VM testing and gaming in general. Will buy a new graphics card soon though ^^

And for the 10TB space on my HDD, steam and playonlinux already use 2TB, I usually convert my DVD movies to isos and the VMs also need some space ;)
