FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I am trying to backup and restore user data from one server to another new minetest server. So, I had to move the mods and worlds to a new server. I backup mods and world files of each users and put in the new server with same directory structure.
Minetest : 0.4.13
Old Server OS : Linux Mint Rosa17.3
New Server OS = ubutnu 15.10
Mod Backup = worked fine when I moved to a Ubuntu 15.10. All mods worked properly
Worlds = World shows up with same name but did not have anything built within a world on the old server.

Possible Cause = looks like it is somehow tied to user-accounts and its unable to recover.

Would appreciate if someone can help or otherwise, point to some old post which describe the full method to do backup on server A and restore on Server B (mods data, worlds data and user accounts)

Could that be a matter of rights and/or file ownerships?

Hi Blackjack,

I dont think that it has anything to do with the rights or ownerships. I backed up everything making sure that files are restored with same rights/permissions. But I would take a look once again and report back
