Larger Avatars?

Can I upload an avatar larger than 64 x 64? It's really hard to make mine look good in that size, since it was originally designed as 800 x 800 for YouTube using several shadow effects to give it a 3D appearance that don't come through well in that size.

I'm still not allowed to upload an image larger than 64x64. And mine is 800x800. Image is 32kb.

Why do you want an image larger then 64x64? Do you not like the default res, or do you want a larger space to put your avatar image?

I think you misread it.... The image must be 64x64, 100 kb MAX... must be at that size or smaller.

This profile pic I had was larger than 800x800... Yet I resized it to 64x64 perfectly fine... use the link I gave to you, and resize yours down to 64x64 or smaller.

Probably 64x64 avatar images are good for the forum design as bigger one would just break everything and increase load time a lot...
I just did a quick test replacing the current max size with 400x400... I feel it's better with 64x64 :)

oleastre, l use my greasemonkey script to apply a few fixes on the forum style:

The forum is programmed extremely inconvenient in comparison to github comment system.
There's even no proper notification system, either you click on "View your posts" and manually ignore what you don't want to read
or you click on that subscribe button every time you add a post somewhere but if you forget it one time you're in a mess finding out who answered to your post,
so l prefer the first way
