FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

i am leaving the minetest community. the reason being is that this community has gotten a bit too messed up for my liking and standards. i will still show up in a few forums posts to help with bugs and such but i will not be joining any of the irc channels and servers for the minetest community unless i need to for reporting a bug or getting help with a problem.

thank you all for the help with my minetest servers and stuff.


i have already shut down and deleted my public servers and maps and put up a private server that i will only allow certain people to log into.

now there are some people in this community i have no problem with. but my main problem is that most people in this community don't follow the same standards that i set for myself. don't get me wrong there are a lot of good people in this community. but i just cannot be in this community anymore.

i will continue to use minetest but just not be as active in the community

The reason people are so messed up these days is because the world is in a state of utter chaos. When everyone's life is a nightmare, it is a given that communities will rot, even Minetest's. Of course, nobody respects the one book that told us that this would all come to pass, and that is truly a shame. You see, you can't expect any community to be a happy place when the world is the exact opposite of that.

I decided to separate a bit from the community as well. Couldn't stand some of the issues that follow any longer. I do come around just randomly now. Not routinely.

well i would be playing robocraft more if i could get steam to work on arch linux :/

EDIT: and if i can get the proprietary video drivers from AMD to work as robocraft doesn't seem to work without them.
