Ah.. now i understand the meaning of farmesh. i dont know FM.. im in war with Minetest... i cant risk to be caught in the middle of two Enemies at the same time ;)

I don't remember, it was 3 years ago (if you look at the top left) on a celeron's server :D Grief was spectacular, spawn was actually under the lava iirc.

That's the reason I disable lava buckets on Xanadu...

IIRC lava mechanics changed a lot since that days, it is not flowing like that anymore.

Nice idea! I'm sure they fit well into caves. You could find some random items when smashing a vase - i.e. paper, keys (to chests), ore lumps, sticks, ...And of course it ought to be possible to pick up the vase and place it elsewhere. Maybe even paint it to a degree. Could be very decorative outside caves.

Just a quick preview of an improved cave generator. It doesn't use Perlin noise, Perlin worms, or anything else named after Perlin.
Eventually the caves are going to look less like balls and sticks and more like actual caves.

EDIT:
If you're wondering why it's an improvement, this is one of the main reasons. Realistic water-filled caverns which are only water-filled if there aren't any tunnels connecting to the bottom of the cavern. This could be expanded to create entire submerged sections of cave.

Made some more improvements to the tunnel and cavern shape. They now look fairly natural.

Sometimes, the sand monsters wander around lonely on a server, minding their own business:

Once they see an adventurer, they rush forward immediately. After having fought off several such attacks on the AdventureTest server, I thought that they ought to have a home to live at. A place where they can peacefullly roam around. Nothing fancy - those poor, undernourished guys can't afford luxory homes. Thus, the bigger rooms are 3x3m, while the smaller ones are only 2x2 m in size. Their new sandcity village type for mg_villages is meant to house those poor sand guys:
(Note that the buildings are connected directly to each other for better protection)

In contrast to other village types, this one does not play with diffrent materials. All they've got is some sandstone blocks (clay might work as well). If someone has an idea for a good texture, it might be possible to occasionally hide a small hole/cache inside the sandstone slabs used for floors and roofs.
