If you want to do that on one monitor, just use xrandr to give yourself a giant virtual screen:
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

xrandr --output VGA0 --rate 60 --mode 1280x800 --fb 3000x1000 --panning 3000x1000
You can then pan around by mousing to the edge of your visible screen.
Of course, you'll have to fill in your output, rate, and mode, as well as the virtual size. (xrandr --query) To undo it, either restart xwindows or run the same command with all the sizes set to your normal size.
Warning: This may adversely affect your framerate in the game... a lot.
