Not everyone knows how to use IRC. And usually it is easier to read the posts in discussion threads, they are well structured and with all the arguments. Wthout these threads the IRC may get spammed by discussions.

1.Download IRC-Client (e.g. XChat)
2.Go online on Freenode
3. Join #minetest and #minetest-delta

I'm gonna be on pretty much (I hope)...

EDIT: I can't find #minetest... Whhaaat!?
