FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I have the problem that some mods don't work for the latest version of minetest, 0.4.15. Well, they do work but not for the server admin in my case. Anyone else having this problem?
But for the client these mods do work, WHY?

I'm talking about these mods: 3D_armor and craftingpack
I tried without craftingpack and without 3D_armor but it didn't work.

Have you updated the mods since you updated to 0.4.15?
