Help making an elementary schooler friendly build

Hi, I am going to make a simple edit to minetest for an elementary school classroom, what would be the best way to remove the public server list (but still let them connect to LAN) and what would be some good things to change and some good mods to add to the copy of minetest_game.

Just put
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
in minetest.conf.
