How to make a drawbridge (with Mese?)

Hi ...
I know I saw some time ago a picture where somebody had shown a picture with a bridge where the road over it could be lifted so that for example a boat can pass under the liftd bridge.

I did not read it carefully but as far as I remember the bridge was lifted by a command block or a lua-program.

I want to have a drawbridge for my harbour and want to fold up parts of a bridge/landing stage. On both sides some blocks, that should change their position from being arranged horizontally to vertically but I don't want an animation, just switch between the two arrangements by using a button or may be better a lever.

1.) Do you know what example with picture für a lift-brigde I mean?
2.) Can you give me some more informations how to do this!?

Thanks ... Birgit

@addi ... sounds simple ... I'll test it first as it will do what I want very quick ...

Danke ;-)
