FORK YOU!

After considerable consideration and deliberate deliberation, I have decided to create an internal fork of minetest, dedicated to preserving the best of minetest without incorporating the bleeding-edge. I call it moldtest after the fungi that gave us penicillin.

This fork is in the process of rapidly approaching stable, and incorporates several features I thought the main game was missing (hint: doors, gates, bedrock - oh, wait, I forgot to include that - etc) and some of my own modifications.

I haven't gotten around to sic'ing the replace script (by the dev of Puppy Linux) on the source quite yet, so it WILL conflict with minetest on Linux if you try to install the DEB. I do have a precompiled run-in-place for 64 bit Ubuntu uploaded.

Feel free to check it out, give feedback and the like.

Progress report
Man, integrating desert generation is tough! And sound - don't get me started on that. I expect I'll have a sound in a month (give or take a week), and desert, for now, will be integrated via the older Desert mod (now Sandstone).
