FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I'm quite new to Minetest, its very fun and I enjoy it, but I do need some help. I really want to make a bucket, but I can't figure out where to get the stuff to make it. I looked it up here, http://minetest.com/crafting-guide/, I know how to make it, but where do I get steel ingot? Oh, and is it possible for me to just spawn the bucket? If so, how?

smelt iron ingot from the ground in a furnace. then make the pattern with the steel ingot' hope this helps:D

I don't think there's a maximum height for it. It spawns within stone. Just dig down and around a bit, it is brown/red-ish specks in the stone. You know how to smelt in a furnace?
