Minimum Requirements?

by abraker95 » Wed Jul 18, 2012 18:01

I couldn't find the minimum requirements on any page (accept on the main page, which is a little abstract). I tried to run Minetest on Windows ME and it rejected it. Any alternatives (don't ask me to upgrade nor why I'm on ME)?

2 things you may need to do:
-Update C++ redistributable from Microsoft
-Update NVidia drivers (or update OpenGL)
Most people who have their game ''rejected'' by their PC fail to give details, so that's all I can do at the time.
IF it is something other than the C++ redist. package, please tell us what it ''says''.
If none of these work, get a better OS like Linux.

Society can thrive without money - but only if productive members of society are rewarded for being productive.

Minetest requires a SSE2-compliant CPU to work; if your computer is very old, it probably doesn't support SSE2. Installing Linux will probably not help.

It could help, so I'd try running it from a linux live USB.
