0.4.2-rc1 released!

Hey guys i looked on the blog & 0.4.2 has been released & dm's are back i think. A screenshot is on the blog i think maybe the rat & the oerkii mayv'e come back but im not really sure im just guessing.

Oh my mistake mobs were not added back in there is just a mob's mod made by celeron55 with dm's & stuff. You can use it with 0.4.1 & 0.4.2 i think. you can find chests in dungeons with items in them also in that mobs mod i mentioned.

chests in dungeons? wow, I need to look into that, and maybe make a mod that makes treasure chests spawn in map generation, with stuff in them. Maybe we can even make a more advanced system of mods and stuff, so that in Team VS. Team gameplay we can have ''summoning gates'' where players can ''capture'' gates and ''summon'' mobs to help them fight the other team...

You can find that mob's mod on the blog in the 0.4.2 thing it only contains a dm but it's still a mob that we can avoid & fight.

I dont care about the DM's, hows the CPU and RAM usage on this one?
edit: that was a quick compile, and performance seems to be returning to acceptable levels:
0.4.2

RC1 = Release Candidate, which means it COULD BE THE STABLE, IF there are no major problems, which, I do belive Celeron55 wants a week or so to see if anything major comes up.

I dont really care how they're labeled :p so long as performance improves, not worsens :-) But ive already asked on his blog to add more performance options in the menu, for those of use with mesopotamian/sumerian P4s :p

I have a 2x P4's @ 3.2GHZ, (2 CPU motherboard, and with hyperthreading = 4 CPUS.) 1gb of RAM, (DDR2 @ 512mb x 2) 512mb of GPU power, nVidia GeForce 6200 (Model 6) in AGP, (300 mhz dual-write bus, and fast-write compliant, pumps this to 600mhz, and perhaps 1.2ghz if I overclock.)
If I am running the OS (no other apps running in the background), I can run VanessaE's textures without going any lower then 30fps.
Normally with 16px textures, I can get 55-60 fps, not to mention no node boxes.
Yes, a aging powerhouse.

Old isn't necessarily bad, If you take care of it. The tower i use i bought in 2007, since then ive changed almost every part on a need basis. The only thing left is to buy a new motherboard and processor and ittl essentially be a new/rebuilt computer lol

Wow that's great, I've just compiled it without any problems.
(0.4.1 couldn't find libGL.so for some reason, I had to define manually)
For those who are looking for the sources for the 0.4.2rc, use this:
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

In the optional mobs mod, you should search for bucket:nyancat and bucket:nyancat_rainbow in the init.lua and replace it with default:nyancat respectively default:nyancat_rainbow
