FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I recently had to delete and re install minetest. When i did so i obviously lost all my mods and when i tried using them on my new minetest none of them worked. i even tried installing new mods and those didn't work either. In summary; not one single mod works on my minetest. Period. I am running the 0.4.2 on Windows 32-Bit if that may help provide any answers. But seriously, wtf is going on? I've run out of things to do on there and need mods now!

In wich map/folder are you placing your mods (path)?
What is the error you get? (rename your debug.txt file to debug.old or something, make a new, empty debug.txt file, try to play a minetest game with a mod again, search on 'error' and then copy paste all the errors here).
