Minetest Wont Connect to My Minetest Server running on a Server computer at my house
It was working before but i reinstalled Edubuntu 12.04 and now it wont Connect
What is Wrong?
I can connect to Other Servers
AND
I have tried connecting with the LAN IP and a the external IP

Hi mad chicken are you able to show a fix, im having the same problem i started a server then tryed on another client to log into that server and it wont connect

I can't connect to my own server! Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

how did you fix this issue, i have installed minetest 0.4.4-d1 in ubuntu 12.04

the client runs fine as a single user. but when I start minetestserver in a terminal and then open second terminal and run minetest and try to connect by my ip and port that is open on my router it just sits there with a spinning "/" and no error. have tried different ports and searching his on the net with no luck. any insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

i installed minetest via the read me file and also tried the deb file from https://code.launchpad.net/~minetestdevs/+archive/daily-builds/+packages with same results.

my router is a 2wire from AT&T and i have opend port 30000 and can ping it in terminal.

Edit: Also i have a friend that is trying to connect to me from his house with no luck.

Edit2: oh and one more thing, i get no errors while trying to connect.
