Will Minetest run on Windows RT / Microsoft Surface?

Will it be possible to compile Minetest to run on Windows RT (the stripped down windows 8) on the Microsoft surface RT? I'm thinking that even if it were possible, there just won't be enough horsepower there unless one went with and older version of Minetest. But I'm thinking it will probably be able to run on Surface Pro which runs full windows 8.

can you explain why not? so far almost everything which runs on normal windows runs in windows rt too...

as minetest support dx, i would expect that minetest runs on a windows rt version too...

anyway the surface will be win8 and you can choose between windows 8 rt and a normal windows 8 version, depends how much you want to spent.

as the small surface is more powerfull then my old eeePC (Kubuntu) i expect that it will run ...

finaly we should see/know that at the end of this month ;-)

@mito551 thanks for the link, did not know this yet...

surface should be out with windows 8, but did not see any posiblility to order it at the moment, not even on "smallsoft"side.

if thats really like it said on the wiki, i am sure not many ppl will buy a surface rt tablet. and as the price for the win8 pro version should be around 700 to 800 euro.....if so i would wait for the china win8 tablet (Lenovo) which should be around 500 euro

UPD: (missed that part earlier)

i have an android lenovo tablet(thinkpad tablet). features are great, but stability leaves much to be desired. i made my choice in favor of features, and i don't regret it.

Yeah there were so many rumors of $299 with the keyboard. Now it looks like I'll be buying a Nexus 7.

Normal Windows Applications won't run on Surface because, the Surface has an ARM processor.
It needs to get specially compiled for that
