Not trying to be picky, but any possibility we'll be seeing a 0.4.4 build for Windows soon? If I have time tonight I may try to build it myself. I built the latest from github on linux and this build and the latest don't talk to each other.

The compiling instructions in the readme are spot on for compiling under linux. Just copy and paste the commands and you should be able to get it going. They even include a single apt-get command to install the dependencies.

I was worried about the 3D player. In Minecraft, the 3D player seems to almost always be looking at the ground, making him look depressed. I don't like it. But the Minetest version isn't doing that, and looks alright. I'll have to watch the rest of the video after I finish my homework., but I just had to see if the 3D players were as bad as I feared.

Where even is the source to compile it? The unstable version is on Github, I believe, but where is the stable one? Is it somewhere else on Github?

Plus, a lot of us don't know how to compile. I used to compile stuff on my Mac, but since switching to Linux, I haven't managed to do so successfully. The only thing I've tried to compile on Linux was JVGS though, so maybe that game is just hard to get working.

Due to the amount of random objects and lava, I would say that was probably a test world, not a public server. But I could be wrong.

Once the Linux packages are released, I'll upgrade my server, and you can come hang out at my place, if you like.

In the mean time, I'll try to find and compile it, but I'm not upgrading the server until the packages are available, so my users won't have to compile it. So, you'll probably find a good server before that. I think 94.23.33.108 ports 30000 and 30001 (Globis's server) is upgraded, as my 0.4.3 client won't connect to them.

minetest_game is a separate project on Github.

I give up on compiling. I'm too lazy.

You don't have to compile minetest_game dummy!
https://github.com/celeron55/minetest_game unzip it, put it in ~/minetest/games/
