Ok, so i want to make a game...
and i wanted to know, that is it possible to make the game generate maps that have a fortress/castle next to the spawn?
because that would be AWESOME :D
ow and also suggest mods, that should be there...
!REMEMBER!
This game is based on the medieval times, so there shouldnt be mods that put the 21st century in it...
like mesecons, computers, protection, 3dforniture etc...
this game would be mostly with my mods, that ill try to make with maybe PilzAdam, VanessaE and also maybe Calinou...
but if you want, you can help too :D

[What this game will have]
1. Textures (You can submit you'r own textures too ;D)
# Medieval player skins
#King
#Queen
#Knight
#Knight(Female)
#Farmer
#Dragons
#Animals
2. New mods that change the world (Mostly textures)
# New blocks (Stone, Sand, Cobble, Dirt, Dirt_With_Grass etc...)
#New plants (Trees, Bushesetc...)
#New weapons (Longsword, Dagger, Slingshot etc...)
#New ores (Gold, Steel, Diamonds, Coal etc...)

You can use lua to do register_ongenerate or similar.

Or you could just give the player a premade map

That's what I would suggest. I don't know how to set that up well, but I know it can be done.

This way would be admittedly easier, but if at all possible, I would stick with the first option if you plan to call it a game. You could include a pre-built castle and call it a map though.

If you use Lua and register_ongenerate(), you will have a better game, that can be used with any seed.

If you build a castle by hand and package the sqlite file with your game, you should call it a map, not a game.

I agree. I wonder how hard it would be to program the terrain generator to generate terrain AROUND some premade terrain.

At the very least, it should be possible to raise/lower surrounding terrain to match the level of an added feature.
