Yep, we hit another stable release!

Well, there is actaully no real release second. There where many steps to release 0.4.4 and it took some time to do that.

Exactly. If all goes perfectly, getting a release fully out takes a bit less than an hour from the decision to do it.

Added animated fire that hurts, steel doors, new textures for nyancat and apple and of course 3D players. Don't know about the technical stuff though =D

Preload item visuals: load all item visuals, increases RAM usage and load time but prevents short freezes when opening inventory when new items appear.

0.4.4 is nice. Glad it's "stable". Great work to all those developing minetest and thank you for providing people like me a nice game to play with.

With all the fancy settings I get between 5-8fps with times dipping to 0. With everything unchecked I get about 60+fps. However shaders and other fancy settings do make everything look better.

In this case your GPU doesnt support shaders.

Added ability for server to tweak amount of bandwidth used to upload mods to clients (celeron55)

can someone elaborate on that/ explain how to use the congestion_control options properly?
