is there already a ubuntu tablet ?
and if....it will work similar to the ios/andriod devices... so there must be a new way to control cause you dont have keyboard and mouse

It is possible to replace Android on a Nexus 7 tablet with Ubuntu (since the bootloader can be unlocked).

@calinou

i thought the next ubuntu version would support arm devices ... so i am not sure if a rooted device (arm) like the most tablets are will run fully with the 12.10 ubuntu version.

thats why i still wait to root my archos 101 XS ...

Maybe we can use the developing Pocket Edition of Minetest?

The question should be this:

Support for Minetest on Ubuntu?

Ubuntu tablets work exactly the same as Ubuntu computers, there are just a few graphical changes and underlying core changes.

Minetest will still work, but you will not be able to control it well unless you plug in a keyboard...

Virtual keypads suck.

Anyways, Minetest should work if its dependencies do, so no worries there. Get a decent bluetooth keyboard, and you'll have a gimped laptop. I mean, a gaming tablet.
