Okay I've looked then looked again. Where is the info on how to get and use this mod? What is the crafting guide?

A crafting guide tells you how to craft every item, that you can. How to craft the crafting guide is like this:

The Creative "mod" I haven't heard of such a thing yet, although there is a "Creative Mode" which you can start, How you start it is like this. You Click any of your already made singleplayer games, then you click the "Creative Mode" Checkbox to the left of all your listed games. Sorry for bad Grammar, But I hope this helps :-)

I think the creative mod is used when you play in creative mode.

Checked both in creative mode and using Crafting Guide... nothing shows up.
Some notes...
Creative is standard with 0.4.4. It shows with /mods line command.
Conflicts with mesecons wooden floor switch ... both use 2 wooden planks for their recipe.
