I have written the starting points of a manual: http://multa.bugs3.com/minetest/manual/index.html

The manual is on github: https://github.com/rubenwardy/minetest-manual

Looks good.

Small typos you did:

"Git Hub" should be "GitHub".
"lua" or "LUA" should be "Lua".
"Mac" or "OSX" should be "OS X", which is the official name given by Apple as of 10.8.

When text gives indications when it is hovered (example: on the "Installing" page), the underline should be "dashed".

Also, make the section buttons clickable instead of making the text inside them clickable. They're buttons for a reason. :)

Looks good!

One thing is that when installing using Ubuntu, the version found on the "Ubuntu Software Centre" is usually out-of-date. So if they want to use 0.4.4 they HAVE to download it via the site's download link.

if i would install minetest via terminal ($ sudo apt-get install minetest) it would be out dated?

Not sure about that. But, I'm 100% sure, from experience that the download in the "Ubuntu Software Centre" is out-dated. I was on 12.04 at the time, but I think the version makes no difference.

Just checked: 12.10 has Minetest 0.3.1

Thought that was correct. Thanks for checking.

It is meant to be a manual / tutorial, which the player can download

wiki's are mainly php, so are undownloadable

Actually, PHP is only the wiki software. The actual content is in a database, and I think there is a mediawiki plugin that allow for easy downloading of a selection of pages.
