There already is (running animation is played, but slower). This is a feature, not a bug, because sneaking is pretty much like walking and not crouching.

On that note we should have a better 'swimming' animation, so we're not just walking on an imaginary underwater surface/

oh, and if you have fallen atleast 5 blocks, then it will wave its lims :D

Sneaking animation should differ from running one, cause other players should know, what other player is doing right now.

Yes there is. I call when you have fast mode on and are walking while pressing "e" sprinting.

When you jump in mid-air you could have a skydiving animation.

Nope, its called superspeed and it is not sprinting.
