Mac doesn't have sound?

by Thatguy » Mon Mar 11, 2013 11:19

I've just recently started using minetest and I was looking through the updates section, one of the updates was sound. I don't seem to have any sound, is this because of a bug or is the mac version still being updated/compiled (i'm not sure what the term is)?

Mac OSX builds are EXTREMELY OUT OF DATE.

Will it ever be updated? Anyone got an idea how long this will be if they do? Also I tried running this on "Wine bottler", but it didn't work. So anyone know what can run the windows exe file on a Mac?

Thatguy, there are some guides for Mac compiling, but don't expect them to work IIRC.

If you're on an Intel Mac, there may be hope. I'm not sure.

If you're on a PowerPC Mac, there is no hope, so don't waste your time. When I finally got Minetest to compile on PowerPC, it was unplayable due (presumably) to the reversed endians.
