Puppy Linux Minetest Builds (Building Latest versions)

by madchicken13 » Sun Jun 16, 2013 20:23

Hey all, Imma be compiling some minetest builds on Puppy Linux lucid (5.2.8) so all you can get the builds on my website. I need to setup irrlicht, but I will post the links to the archives as soon as possible. Thanks -Chris

--EDIT--
Here is Minetest 0.4.7: Dropbox

Note that you need to run the 'Install' script in the archive before minetest will run, and you do need video drivers installed

If you put it in the root of the archive structure, and name it `pinstall.sh', the package manager runs it as part of installation.

It will probably be run without a terminal, so if you need user input from there, use the usual gtkdialog approach.

Seen this thread and thought this may be of some use to others who wish to install minetest on puppy Linux, i created a complete guide for compiling both the latest stable and development versions of Minetest on Puppy Slacko 5.7.0

Works great and the game plays even better and faster then on Ubuntu.

Any way check it out for your self and hope this helps. Have Fun!!
