Hello all.

I would post this in the mods board but for whatever the reason I am unable to.

I was wondering if their is any mod so I can have music playing during game-play in a server.

Sometimes it's so quiet and I find myself playing a playlist from my computer.

I like how in Minecraft theirs a nice little tune always playing while I mine or build or whatever it maybe I am doing.

The problem with music is, the more you play the more annoying it gets.

I'll just let you know, minecraft's music is not annoying. It is actually very nice. Also, there is not one song playing the whole time, it can vary quite a bit.

If it's the same 1-12 beats, it gets annoying (like popular radio).

Same here too. Any mod your dump into minetest_game and run it as a server will be used for a server.

Try neuromancer's ambience mod. It has some music in it.

Maybe smellybut is referring to a mod that allows you to disable the music that is playing, for people like you.

That would make sense only if the game already came with music.

Well it doesnt come with music, thats why he is SUGGESTING a mod with music. Or some other way to get music, personally i ont think it should be a MOD with music, but maybe add music ability in next minetest version 0.4.8

Well the client does support sound, and there are two ambience mods (with different music) already available. But with lag being what it is, I dont think music should be inflicted on all users by default.

You could use an external music player like Clementine.
