FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I just registered on the forum and I was a bit confused at first that I'm already logged in ...
Most other forums require some form of email validation (e.g. via an activation mail with a link).

Why doesn't this forum?

Because it is awesome enough. And because we don't fear hackers. Or bots.
