minetest is apperintly avalible for the dsi on an app called petit computer.this port im working on will be in 2d.however,dscraft is a game like minetest.but it doesn't have monster's or animal's and smealum isn't planning any updates.but there are mod's and texturepack's.if you seem to like dscraft please comment.and i would like to see some screen-shot's of your stuff and world's.

There is no Minetest for DSi, however, DSCraft is homebrew and runs on the Nintendo DS; I've never had it work for me.

DSCraft works for me; but it doesn't have any survival aspect (no pickaxes and all), and of course, no support for mods...
But if you just like building, that might fit, but it isn't as comfortable as a good computer with a mouse and keyboard :-D
Official website:
http://smealum.net/dscraft/Oh, also, beware, it's .rar...

Do you have any flashcard ?
You need one of them to play homebrew like DSCraft.
Also I don't know how you're using the DSi to browse the web.
For me it takes like 1 minute to load any page, and it often crashes once the page is loaded...
EDIT:
About porting minetest to DSi, there were some topics on the irrlicht forums about running irrlicht on the DS... but I can't find them back.
EDIT2:

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.

hey,it only costs like 800 dsi points, but im warning you.it isnt what you think.its used in BASIC programing,if you dont know any BASIC then ill get you started. lesson,1.print lets you print letters.it is a verty simple command, here is how to use it.
1.print "hello world
2.wait 200
3.cls
there are 2 more commands you need to know, wait and cls.cls clears the text you print and wait makes the consol wait, using 60 after wait will make it wait for a secont.

Hopeless idea because even MT has a required minimal processor speed and memory.
The DSi is made for 8-bit-color games, nothing for a compact game like MT.

Yeah... you're not going to have much luck running MT on a 133 MHz ARM CPU and 16 MB of RAM (the 3DS has 128MB of RAM, which still isn't enough). Even my Pandora (600 MHz ARM CPU and 256(?) MB of RAM) has a hard time with it. I suppose you could implement your own form of virtual memory, but it would be very, very, very slow.

ok im re-coding minetest 2d and now calling it "mine blocks ds"
and I finally got my flashcart. if your flashcart says "? menu" then you didn't install it correctly. you need the files from the folder you downloaded on the root of it. Btw,
I got the r4i sd-hc 3ds rts.anyways, see ya!
