by brainiacbob » Thu Aug 01, 2013 15:44

i built a house with wood floors and put a dungeon master in it. he wasted no time in setting it on fire. is there a way to change the game so that wood is not flammable.Thanks

There is now a way to disable destruction by fire without having to remove the fire mod from the base game. It is done by typing the line below into Minetest's configuration file:
disable_fire = true

Inflammable means that it can catch fire. Non-flammable is probably what you mean.
7:42 PM - Bauglio: I think if you go to staples you could steal firmware from a fax machine that would run better than win10 does on any platform
7:42 PM - Bauglio: so fudge the stable build
7:43 PM - Bauglio: get the staple build

Do people even use the word 'inflammable' any more? Why the hell does english even have that word in the first place? Who in their right mind thought, "hey, we should add the prefix 'in' to flammable, which usually denotes a negative, but have it actually mean the same thing?"

Inflammable means flammable? What a country!

Edit: Also if you're playing singleplayer on your own you could edit the nodes.lua file to remove the fire spread.

Just remove the "flammable=#" from the nodes "groups =" section.

What if you used unbreakable blocks? and why would you want a dungeon master in your house?

They are always clogging up the toilet and don't even help out.

"Inflammable" means highly flammable, i.e. a piece of wood or charcoal is flammable, but something like a match or a piece of flash paper is inflammable. Then you get to stuff like methane, gasoline, etc. which are volatile under the right conditions.
