Well, I installed my 0.4.6 Minetest to 0.4.7. I downloaded the 0.4.7 ZIP, extracted, but it didnt seem to put the actual Minetest program onto my desktop. The only way I can run it is by going into 0.4.7 directory, bin, and double-click the program. Is there a way to move the Minetest program onto the desktop without getting annoying messages and not loading?

Create a shortcut to minetest.exe by right clicking it, then clicking "Send To" then "Desktop".
