FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Hello,
I tried to use the floatislands mod, but nothing happened... So I was a little bit sad, but the idea of this mod is quiet nice, or better: awesome! Is there a possibility that this mod will be implemented in the default game, so that it all works fine?
That would be great! And it would be also good because building in other "dimensions" would be cool, and would make space for great building ideas for adventure maps or something like that!

I dont think it will be implemented in the game. I'm not saying it won't, just unlikely. You could always create your own floating islands. :).

The float lands realm is implemented in game, in "indev mapgen V6", although it has a bug that creates flat sides and the float lands are too small and scattered, even near the top of the world.
Edit your minetest.conf file and add this line:
mg_name = indev

Don't be sad, i wrote the lua mod so just ask me for help :)
What altitude did you fly to? The float lands are rare at first and get more dense towards y = 16000.
Remember to keep a terminal open so you can see the generation messages.
Did you remember to enable the mod in world configuration?
