regular survival mode -> create new world -> play -> black screen! - everything works - wait, did I get spawned into a ravine? yep!
so...unless I cheat and go to creative mode and pop some torches around, or just create a new world, I'm stuck!

just found out that furnaces work underwater

regular doors work underwater and keep out water even when open = nice airlock!

spawned inside a regular tree trunk (black screen - try punch - oh, i was inside a tree!)
