finally got enable_fog = false to stick in minetest.conf - oh please oh please oh please please please put a switchy in the settings to be able to set the fog to off - i really hate the fog

the fog came back because i compiled the latest git today! - excellent, seems even faster response to controls

Did you try hitting F3?

yep - the F3 printing is wearing off lol
