Having a problem with jungles... (and wondering if I'm dumb)

I just got Minetest 0.4.7. It is awesome.

However it is my understanding that I have to put in "v6_jungles, dungeons" in something called "mg_flags" within the conf file. However, that setting doesn't exist, and when I put in "mg_flags = v6_jungles, dungeons", wound up with very odd worlds.

I seem to have set it right again by restoring the original state of that file, but I am very confused now. Are jungles in this version by default? Is there a setting I missed? Ergh.

Anyway. Thanks. :)

When minetest starts a v6 game it follows the default map generation. I think the one in minetest.conf.example:
#mg_flags = trees, caves, v6_biome_blend
You don't see it in your minetest.conf.

I guess when you put in your minetest.conf:
mg_flags = v6_jungles, dungeons
It will overwrite the default settings and create a world with only jungles and dungeons

So you'll need to put more settings in that line. You'll probably want something like this
mg_flags = trees, caves, v6_biome_blend, v6_jungles, dungeons

You can copy that line or copy elements from minetest.conf.example:
# Map generation attributes. Currently supported: trees, caves, flat, v6_biome_blend, v6_jungles, dungeons, nolight

Be sure you are editing `minetest.conf' while the game is not running. Otherwise it overwrites the settings.
