Hello everyone, I'm Enke. I've been playing Minetest since January of this year. I hope I can stay on friendly terms with everyone here, and I hope that I'm not an annoyance. I'm very excited to meet and speak with the developers and players of such an excellent game. I am the Head Moderator on ShadowNinja's server, so some of you may already know who I am.
A little bit about me: I am a teenager. I live in Arkansas. I like retro games and Dwarf Fortress, as well as almost any roguelike game I can come across. I don't have many friends, but I'm still pretty happy. I go to a very small school. I like to spend my time daydreaming in a fictional universe of my creation. My real name is not Enke.
If you have a question for me, please ask. I will attempt to answer you. If you have a problem with me or my actions, please tell me, and I can attempt to better myself and fix what I did wrong.

Thank you. I try to be realistic, but I lean toward the pessimistic side, and I've got a nasty cynical streak in me, so I can be a little rude at times, but I try to not do that, and just keep my thoughts to myself. It's a pleasure to meet you.

I have a question: I am working on my avatar, and am entertaining the thought of using a .gif. When I go the profile page where I upload my image, it says I can use a .png, .jpeg, and .gif. However, in the forum rules, it says that animated avatars are disallowed. I assume that this means that it is against forum policy to use a .gif. Am I correct?

GIF format does not necessarily mean animated images. It is OK to use .gif, but not animated ones.
