Here is a video I made that does a general explanation of what subgames are:

There are a few factual mistakes in your video:

• You said that the engine provides no nodes. Wrong. The engine provides 2 nodes which are always available: air and ignore.
• You said that the health bar is a mod issue. Kinda wrong. The health bar is handled by the engine by default, but it can be hidden by mods to provide their own. However, currently, mods must provide health.png for this default health bar to work properly
• Diagram 2: The diagram implies that player-added mods are now magically part of the subgame. No, I wouldn't say that, they are only part of the subgame if you actually put the mod into the subgame folder.
• You said the engine provides no other game-dependant features. Clearly wrong, it actually does quite a couple of things: Handling players, handling world generation (but needs some cooperation from mods first), handles player gravity, a damage system, a crafting system, a default inventory, etc. Those are all game-dependant features, but a lot of them can modified by mods, of course.

I am not sure about objects and entities, but as far I know, player characters (those in the world, not those people sitting in front of the computer) are objects already, so the claim that Minetest (the engine) adds no objects by default might be wrong (but I am not 100% sure, so be careful).
Also, falling nodes and dropped items are entities which are always available, but I am not sure if these are part of the engine. I know they are handled (mostly? fully?) in builtin code (Lua code) but I am not sure whether the builtin code is considered part of the engine.

Well, the song is catchy and all of that (very catchy,) but as I said before, the story within it is very esoteric. Did you use the green_screen mod to make that video? As far as I know, movies can't be streamed within Minetest.
