Where to put images?

Image hosting services unfortionately do not seem to last long and are sometimes gone after a couple of month :-( imgur does not work at all (probably requires JavaScript?).

Does anyone know of a good way/place to put descriptive images for my mods? It's not only the time the new upload will require - the links in all the mod introduction topics will also have to be edited. Very annoying :-( Perhaps github might be able to host the documentation as well as the source code...

I will take this opportunity to remind people of what could have been if this community had not thrown out Starblessed. He could have solved all of our image-hosting problems.

I suppose you could try MediaGoblin, Sokomine. It might be your best bet. As for me, I have PhotoBucket.

If you are scared of imgur, I can host them for you on my own account.

Shouldn't be a problem to activate JavaScript on that only site. As far I know, it also requires the flash player.

EDIT:

Yes, good image hosters with a control panel are wanted.

I use Photobucket. Even those images from back when I tried to create MoreStuff2 (which failed horribly) are still there.

I want to know more about this, can you tell us what happened?

MediaCrush is the best service I've ever used, not to mention they don't compress images, ala Imgur.

http://lut.im - hosted in France, images only.
http://mediacru.sh - images, videos, audio.

Both are based on free software.

No, you don't need Flash at all for imgur.

MediaGoblin is one possibility, though it requires an account. I use http://gobblin.se.
