Boring world, bad animations, bad sound, boring story badly presented, decent quality.
-> No.

Don't zoom in static images. Use a second player without HUD (F1) etc. in Fly-Mode to get some nice shots*.

Use a more suitable font. Don't use white text, or at least use a two coloured font or bordered text.

The video should at least be 720p and don't stretch, deform or compress textures or the video.

Oh and music would be great. But something that fits and doesn't violate Copyright. Creative Commons is your friend.

Don't use sliding text if there isn't a good reasons.

*To bad there is no scriptable Camera mod.

Not bad for the first try.

You did well for a first try, but give the two mods linked to below a try next time, for custom skins and a good inventory can go a long way:

Give CamStudio (which is free and open source) a try when it comes to recording Minetest gameplay. As for a video editing program that is free and open source, you should consider getting Linux, as the existence of such a thing for Windows is quite impossible.

Well, there is Blender. But it's quite a beast to tame.

On the content of the video, I'd say you should really switch to a more interesting mapgen (paramat's?). If anyone was to discover Minetest watching this, he'd probably infer MT has a very poor map generator, which would be quite unfair.

There's always lightworks. I use it and it's excellent. Also I wouldn't write "as you go". I suggest storyboarding. Quickly sketch some scenes in small squares on paper.

I thought it was okay. Could use some back ground music, and a voice over.
