Am I allowed to release a mod with edited stone textures?

Hello, I have made a mod which has edited cobble/stone textures in it (it is a mod for coloured stone and cobble). Am I allowed to release this due to the edited textures. I have looked here https://github.com/minetest/minetest_ga ... ME.txt#L31 to see if they are WTFPL but I am still not sure. Thanks for any answers.

The license is WTFPL, so you can do what you like with them.

You can yes, but you must release the edited version as CC BY-SA and give credit.

You have to say:

Is the credit also necessary if it's completely obvious that the texture is a modified one from the default mod?
