These texture packs are intended to create an atmosphere that reminds the player of what things were like in the 8-bit world. As the title suggests, these were drawn to emulate the way the game might look on a Commodore 64, using what is known as Pepto's palette (but with much higher saturation and a bit higher brightness, to better represent what a C64 monitor might show). The nostalgic look has its limits, owing to the much higher resolution that Minetest runs at, but I think this works well.
This pack supports the standard/distribution stuff found in v0.4, 2012-04-08 and up, all of that which is/was present in v0.3 (though some filenames may be different), and a bunch mods! It should also work with other branches/forks of Minetest, as long as the texture filenames haven't been changed.
416 images in the 16px size and counting!
