Update 120513.
A return to greener dirt with grass, a more nostalgic mese, new bronze, new copper, new diamond, grass matches junglegrass, mod support for nether mod.
Still to do: Dyes, TNT.

This is a really cool texture pack, but the texture for the side of grass doesn't work. you need to increase the size of the texture to 16 pixels wide and maybe 6, 8, or more pixels high

Don't ever save anything as a JPEG.

Thanks for that, i've just worked out why i didn't notice this ... i have dirt with grass redefined so that the side is a single texture instead of 'grass side' on top of dirt, so this 2x2 texture works for me but for others it is a 2x2 texture on top of a 16x16 texture.

I will fix this and post a new version very soon, i'm still not happy with the grass textures so this is a chance to improve those too and make them 16x16 again.

I think It looks better with the grass only going 1/4 to 2/3 of the way down the node, maybe you can include both textures (16x16 grass side and 16x6 (not including the transparent area) grass side), with the 16x16 one as default.

Blackthorne, i haven't tried mesecons yet, i only make textures for mods i use myself, i look forward to trying it.

12Me12, anyone who prefers partial coverage can edit the texture themselves in GIMP, just select eraser hard edge and erase the lower half.

Version 071013 released with new flowing water texture, same as water source but with a steady brightness.
Also textures for paragen and paragenv7.

Why the dislike towards them? They really do enhance the visual experience of Minetest, unless they cause frame-rate to drop.
