@Jordach - It's 2000 x 2000, but what difference does it make? Bigger does not make it artistic. Once completed, the set will be shrunk down to a more manageable size.

@TheLoLMan - Thanks, I take great care in making these look the best it can possibly be.

Where do i get minetoon 2.0? I choose download for 0.4 but it's only for an old 0.4. Could anyone help me?

2000px textures!? I hope you scale them down prior to each release :D

@Josh - MineToon 2.0 is not yet released. Once all of the default textures are complete, there will a link set up. Just be patient, it'll take some time for me.

@VanessaE - Of course, I just find it easier to work with that size for some odd reason.

You should release the texture pack in resolutions higher than 512x, on top of the regular 512x and 256x. Since MT is better optimized than MC, you would be able to do this.

I'm actually not surprised; I regularly work with textures in the 3000-4000 range when I'm adding to my 512px pack. I figure it guarantees that there won't be any rendering artifacts in the final images.

nah... 250's enough.

I nearly dropped some bricks. GIMP or Inkscape?

@VanessaE - I'm a graphic artist who've worked on several commercial products. Working BIG is pretty standard in my case. :)

I can still work on a smaller scale with this design style.

We are making a wikipedia page : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minetest

And would like to showcase this texture pack.
Do you mind?

Of course you may showcase the pack. I'm proud mine was selected. Thank you.

I'm sorry, I don't want to be a pain, but CC is not a license, it's a series of licenses. There's BY, SA, NC, ND, 2.5, 3.0...

Hello!

I would like to use this textures in a world I have with my little bro but i have some problems. I wanna help fix that.

I copy all the textures and files in the correct folders but there's a problem with "init.lua" in "default" folder. If I copy this archive the world doesn't works correctly. I can't create new worlds (the new worlds appears empty) i only can use it with worlds already created. In already created worlds, i can't dig and other things. I was watching the 2 files of "init.lua", your and my default archive. I believe the sintax are a bit different. What can I do? Can you give me some instructions?

Can I use my default initial "init.lua" whith this textures withouth problems?

I love this work! Thank you!

(i'm using linux and the newest version of minetest 0.4.3)

You might wanna use the init.lua you got by default from minetest as the lua file is outdated in my pack.

I'm using default "init.lua" and seems all working at the moment.

There's something important in your "initial.lua" what needs to be implanted in new initial.lua?

Skybox images doesn't work. There is no files in 0.4.3 to be replaced. The sky seems normal. I deleted the png's.

Thank you

Thankyou for the texturepack, i rly like it, but there are some points i would love to see improved:
- release of 2.0
- compression of the textures via optipng (or just send them to me, im gona compress them and send them back), wich would save a lot of bandwidth for server-admins
- add support for at least some mods: esp. moreores, (i have hacked around a bit by substracting the default_stone.png from the picture with iron and recolouring that) farming by PilzAdam, mesecons (a lot of work )-:), technic and flowers.
- add animated torches

anyways: thanks for the great pack

I would if I knew what the materials in textures were suppose to be.

I think there may be something wrong with your "init.lua" because I couldn't actually mine anything. I could keep hitting the block all day, but it would not decay and go into inventory. I just ended up using the original "init.lua" that game with the repository. Is there something I am missing that is causing your init file to not work?

@gambit: while that might be quite much impossible to find out without talking to the author for gloopores its easy for moreores ( http://minetest.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=549 ) as its listed on the post

Very nice. I have loved your texture pack and can't wait for revision 2 to be released if it may not but could come.
