You might want to have a look at the Tron Blocks mod.

That was not my intention!
It might have textures you may want to use and it could be expanded
- but above all -
you are making a texture pack that gives the default minetest_game a Tron like look while the linked mod adds some extra blocks to the game. Those are two absolutely different approaches so keep up the good work.
Btw any existing mod can be expanded. Never consider them finished ;-)
