FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I have recently been working on a new texture pack and it has been coming along quite nicely to my standards. But I stumbled upon a problem. I could not decide which texture I wanted to use for Cobblestone...



or...



As you can see they are very similar to each other. The only difference is that the second one has the 'make seamless' filter applied. In my opinion they are both very good and was looking for some outside opinions. So which do you like better?

IMO, First one, hands down.

the second one has some smaller stones which sort of 'stick out' as bad in the repeating grid.
