It has been a lot of going back and forth, testing the color blends... and testing them against shaders off and on.
a couple I'm still not 100% happy with but, there is only so much I can do with them now.

if I go any darker with them, they will look off with shaders off. But with shaders on, they become quite bright but, I think they are about as close I want them without throwing everything off.

Now to start focusing on all the other textures, both in default and the other mods in minetest_game, itself.
And then to start plugging away at other mods from the community, one by one.

But all this will be focused on with the 16 and 32px first, as I realize 64px is not largely popular (so that one will get the last attention now)

That's an option I guess someone could choose but, it means twice the work.

If the work has been done to look good with either option is a plus, for both the designer and the end user.

A couple of the effects shaders in MT need to be tweaked / tuned. Sadly I don't know how..., just know that they do.

I don't use the dev-build, can you post those new forest floor textures here so I can look at them please?

I have downloaded the latest version of 16 and 32px, but they don't work. I get the default TP

Copied the files from texture folder to the main folder. Now it works. Don't know why. I thought subdir support is merged

The 16px I see why. I messed up when I set up the repo, should just be the textures, not files and then a texture folder within another folder. I will fix that later tonight when I have time. Thank you for letting me know.

It also seems to contain a file for the github theme I chose (really clueless as to how or why that file is mixed in there) that is an odd event.

The 32px should work normally. But, I remind you I have not updated the 32px yet with the newest textures.
And, I may even end up discontinuing the 64px as there really does not seem to be much of a demand for that size. I'll have to think about it some more.

For some reason, I had set up the repo as I would for a mod, and the textures were in a "textures" folder inside the main folder :P
So, if you simply extracted the .zip to the textures folder of MT, it would not read them, and you just got default.

Be mindful, this pack only covers, basically node blocks and not tools, or items. So the default tools will still be used
I will probably at least make the colours of items match their respective node blocks but, that will be it.

I'm not really interested in getting into doing tools. But, if anyone else does, I would be happy to review them and glad to add them if they blend well with the pack. : )

it looks pretty well but it's a bit too "flat" and dark. It would maybe need more color variation, maybe on the leaves and the dirt. But it's great

The whole idea behind the pack, is to reduce sharp contrasts between textures. To give a more uniform "flow", to be easier on the eyes and brain.
I kept to a main colour-base to do this.

default_clay and default_cobble textures have been cleaned up and updated.

My thoughts are to discontinue the 64px version.
And providing, instead, 16px, 32px, and 48px versions.

Reasoning: the larger the textures, the more drain on performance (fps), so 64px is not that popular.
For this reason, as we all know..., 16px and 32px are the preferred size for textures.

48px can add a reasonable amount of detail, without as harsh a drain as 64px, for those who still like to see more detail / visual candy.

I'd like to hear other's thoughts regarding this.
