Download (0.4)
Download old version

Do you like old retro - adventures? Adventurepack brings the look and feel of them to Minetest.

It features 16px textures done completely from scratch. There are a couple of alternative ones, too.

No, it isn't.
It just looks similar, because I used the same colors.

You still have a wrong link in the 1st post of this thread, kddekadenz. It would be nice to fix that!

Update!
Now compatible with 0.4. Some improvements were made, too.

Did you test it for 0.4? For me the textures are located not in data folder but in data/%modname%/textures and I have to put all of the textures in respective folders.

I thought it is true for system-wide version only but any version of 0.4 contains textures in mods dirs.

@neko259
The user defined texture folder still works like in 0.3. It can also contain (override) textures from mods.

It doesn't seem to work in the server. When the client connects, he gets default textures. Or am I doing something wrong?

OK, I was thinking of the case where you want to replace mod textures on the client side, not the server side. I think on the server you have to replace the textures in the mod folders.

Can you make the server use the texturepack folder option as well?

Updated to 1.3!

Changelog:
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
- Changed the sandstone texture
- fixed the name of the cooked rat texture
- added a couple of new alternative textures

Since I'm not sure how with this particular texture pack, how do you install? Any files that need to be overwritten?

Yes the original Minetest textures need to be overwritten. Check the readme for installations instructions.

Strange. I couldn't find a data folder to replace.

Whoops, the readme is outdated.
In 0.4 the textures are stored in games/gamemode/default/textures (if you want to have specific textures for a gamemode) or in textures/all (for all gamemodes, may need to create this folder).

What is the license for textures? I would like to add this into Minetest-Classic as a texture replacement.

This isn't licensed under an open source license.
And I don't like the idea of Minetest Classic, I think the current Minetest is better than the old one.

Kddekadenz, I have started on a very JSON-esque API - 3D Models, mob AI, all done via C++ and NOT LUA.

Also, thanks, I'll find my own textures then... :)
