How do I use texture packs?

I dont know where to place them in my files I looked at the post made for this but I didn't understand it.

Normally this should work: extract a texture pack in the "all" folder. You can find it under /home/YOURNAME/celeron55-minetest-4b2cc38-tester-texture/textures/all ... at least for Linux :-) (first it was empty, except for this file "textures_here.txt". The.png files should be put here. So this folder will contain the .png files and the one .txt file.

I put the minecraft texture in but it doesnt look any different for some reason.

Which operating system and which version of minetest do you use?

I am on windows and im on minetest 0.4

Ah, I see. I use (L)ubuntu (Linux). Maybe a Windows-user can help you out with this one.

Which version of 0.4? --> http://minetest.net/packages/nightly/?C=M;O=A

I copy the file, ex. MineToon, into "all" under texture packs. When I load the game nothing is different.

You did copy all the .png files (the pictures) out of the maps MineToon/bucket, MineToon/default and MineToon/legacy and put those .png files in the map all? (So, without their 'mother'-maps?)

For me, on Linux, that works.
