FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Im a noob when it comes to texture packs and I was wondering how to install them. I downloaded the cisoun texture pack and put them in textures/ all folder then when I loaded the game everything was the same.

I have Minetest 0.4.dev-20120606 and have it in windows

So any help will be much appreciated

hmm isnt much of cisouns texture pack already in that version? then your now not going to see much of a marked difference

His version looks cleaner and more professional

after you exstracted the files somewhere, copy file contents to
textures/base/pack
put the rest of the file in your mods section. load it up and your done! tell ow how it goes.

p.s it it doesnt work just delete the rest off the file an leave the textures in
textures/base/pack

Wait how do you extract?

Do you copy all of the contents to textures/base/pack?

What I do is replace all textures in minetest_game/mods/default This works well for me.

There is sound in the 0.4 version. You have to install OpenAL externally on Windows, though.
