So... Im making a convesion of the johnsmith texture pack (32x32px), 90% done, i just need to finish: lump of iron, logo, jungle tree, jungle grass, maybe the mobs, sky textures. There are a couple of things that im not quite sure if leave them alone (like using a gold block for the MESE block) or making them on GIMP trying to copy the texture pack style... So my questions are: whats with the legal stuff? An then how can i upload the texture pack so everybody can donwload it?. Thanks.

Concerning legal stuff, just ask first the original author if you can convert his texture pack for Minetest.

Then, if he agrees, you can upload your texture pack somewhere like Mediafire or Megaupload and then share the link here.

I sent a message to the author, and in response, he has updated his contract:

If you want to use my textures in your pack:
You can use, edit and share my textures as long as I'm credited
You are not allowed to make money with my work
And you are not allowed to use my textures in a customizer (might change in the future, but not for now) or in any other games not related to Minecraft.
